Next Week, Next Month's Weather

UK Outlook for Tuesday 3 Aug 2010 to Thursday 12 Aug 2010: The weather is expected to remain changeable during the first week of August with sunshine, but also some rain or showers for much of the UK. The rain is most likely across Scotland, Northern Ireland and northwestern England but will spread further south at times. The best of the drier, brighter weather will continue to be in southern, and particularly southeastern parts. The northwest is likely to stay changeable into the second week of the month with further rain or showers, while the south and southeast of the UK is looking generally drier and sunnier. Winds mostly light or moderate, but stronger at times in the north and northwest. Temperatures will be generally close to average but are likely to be warm, perhaps very warm at times in southern England.

UK Outlook for Friday 13 Aug 2010 to Friday 27 Aug 2010: There are indications that many southern, central and eastern parts of the UK will remain generally dry with these places seeing the best of any sunnier conditions during the period. Rainfall should be near to or slightly below average, with northern parts of the UK retaining the greatest chance of rain or showers and generally more changeable conditions. Temperatures should remain around or above normal for most, but possibly warm or very warm in southern England at times.
